High potential and gifted education

At Pendle Hill Public School the NSW Department of Education’s High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) policy guides our approach in supporting the diverse strengths and needs of gifted and high potential students. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that challenges and nurtures every learner, ensuring they remain engaged, motivated, and able to achieve their full potential. Opportunities extend the curriculum and are tailored to recognise and cultivate high potential across  a range of areas. By adopting a broad understanding of high potential and giftedness, we strive to promote excellence not only in academics but also in creativity, physical development, and social skills supporting and extending student potential.

We focus on four domains of creative, intellectual, physical and social emotional to support high potential and giftedness.

We are committed to implementing the NSW Department of Education’s HPGE policy by delivering a comprehensive, student-focused approach that fosters the potential of every learner across these four domains.
